After taking a break from prototyping, I have had a chance to step back and reflect on the adjustable leg addition to the project.

Pros:
1. smaller size modules
2.more adjustment possibilities
3.easier to add wheels or feet without interfering with track
4. track doesn't need to be confined to the outside corners of module

Cons:
1. heavier modules
2.more complication adds to cost of modules

Over all, I really liked the idea of the additional legs, however, in the end I believe to keep the price down, a simpler approach will prevail.  The important thing is the height measurement of each of the modules is critical to maintain a comfortable work height.
